Guide to writing an article for journal of Arid Biome
It is necessary to follow the following guidelines in writing the submitted articles.
The profile file of the author or authors: includes the name, surname, academic rank, full address of the workplace, email (preferably academic or organizational) and phone number (combined or fixed) of the author(s), which must be prepared in both Persian and English languages. In this file, the order of the names of all the authors should be specified according to the order registered in the numbering system, as well as the responsible author.

Specifications of different parts of the article:
Title of the article: The title should be short and concise and not exceed 15 words. The title is placed at the beginning of the first page of the main text of the article and immediately after that the abstract section of the article begins. Also, avoid including the details of the authors in this section.
Abstract: The abstract should be a compact and expressive collection of the article with an emphasis on describing the problem, working method and important results and their evaluation and should not exceed 300 words. Avoid using abbreviated names and providing sources, formulas, tables, figures and references to footnotes in the abstract.
Keywords: up to 6 words in order of priority and separated by (,) and their foreign equivalents should be inserted under the English abstract section of the article in the same order. Keywords should not be in the title.
Introduction: It includes problem statement, description of the issue, importance, hypotheses, review of the conducted researches, and the purpose of the research.
Materials and methods: It includes the introduction of the studied region, the materials and tools used, a full description of the methods and how to implement the research, statistical design and evaluation methods.
Results: All qualitative and quantitative results are obtained and necessary explanations are provided in this section. The results are compared with previous researches, if needed, the subjects can be classified and tables, curves, graphs or pictures can be used to present the results.
Discussion and conclusion: It includes a summary of the results according to the purpose of the study, and the achievements are analyzed according to the findings of other researches, and a discussion and conclusion is made about them. In this section, the author(s) can provide recommendations and suggestions for further investigations.
Acknowledgments: In this part, thanks are given to the providers of funds and facilities and other people who helped in conducting the research (optional).
Sources:
A- Sources inside the text:
References to sources in the text are in the form of reference numbers, and the references should be arranged in the order of the English alphabet and then numbered within the text (avoid referring to "surname and year" within the text).
- It should be noted that all sources referenced in the text must be mentioned in the sources, and vice versa; All sources included in the reference list must be referenced in the text, otherwise they will be removed from the reference list.
B- Sources at the end of the text:
All sources should be arranged according to the first letter of the last name of the first author (or the relevant organization if there is no author) in the order of the English alphabet (A, B, ..., Z), Therefore, it is necessary to translate all Persian sources into English. It is recommended to use the registered titles without changes if the English titles of the articles are accessed on the website of Farsi journals.
All references must be in APA format.
Avoid using abbreviations (such as J instead of Journal, Sci instead of Science, Uni instead of University, etc.).
At the end of translating Persian sources into English, the phrase (in Farsi) should be added. Pay attention to the small letter “i” at the beginning.
If several sources are used from the same author, the order of their presentation is according to the year of publication from old to new.
If individual and joint articles are submitted by the same author, first the individual articles and then the rest of them are sorted alphabetically by the names of the next authors.
From using the phrase et al. Instead of the names of the authors of the article, all the authors should be listed in the order in the desired source along with the full family name and the first letter of the name with a comma and the last name with &.
The method of referring different sources:
Authored book: author's last name, first letter of the author's name. (year of publication). The name of the book. Place of publication: publisher.
[1]. Author, A. A., & Author, B. B. (Year). Title of book. Location: Publisher.
- Translated book: last name of the author, first letter of the author's name. (year of translation). The name of the book. Surname and first initial of the name of the translator, place of publication: publisher.
- Article: author's last name, first letter of the author's name (year of publication). Title of the article. Name of the publication, volume number (sequential number), pages of the article.
[1]. Author, A. A., Author, B. B., & Author. C. C. (2013). Title of article. Title of Journal, volume, page-numbers.
- Dissertation: author's last name, first letter of the author's name. (year of defense). Thesis title. Degree, faculty name, university name.
How to translate Persian sources into English and respect the period, comma and space between characters is shown in the following example:

Pay attention to the location of the period, comma, parentheses, square brackets, year of publication, page numbers, italicization of some magazine names, and uppercase or lowercase letters.
If there is a DOI code for the sources used, this code must be added at the end of each source.
It is necessary to use the "original title" and "year" registered for each source. To access the English title and registered year for each article, you can refer to the main file of the article or the website of the journal in which it was published. It is recommended to search the second language section of the magazine website, which is mostly in English.

Pay attention to the italicization of the title of the thesis, the degree and the name of the university in brackets, and the access point to the thesis and the link to the abstract page (if any).
Internet sources: site name, article title. Date, full address of the information access point.

Abstract page in English: The abstract of the article in English along with the full translation of the article title and keywords should be inserted on the last page of the original file of the article.
The font type and size should be B Nazanin 13 in all Farsi sections of the article and Times New Roman 12 in all English sections.
In the preparation of maps, symbols should be used instead of colors and should have coordinates and guides. Mentioning the source of photos or figures adapted from other sources is mandatory. If possible, tables, graphs and figures should be placed in one page column and the content and titles should be named in Farsi. Figures (according to the example) and tables should be set without frames.
- Do not include the map of Iran without its water areas, including the Caspian Sea, the Persian Gulf, and the Sea of Oman.
To refer to the table and figure in the text, it is not necessary to put the number of the table or figure in parentheses.
Equations should be numbered from beginning to end. The number of the equations should be written at the end of the right side of each column and along the line containing the equations in parentheses.
* It is necessary for respected authors to upload the full text of their article using the Samimnoor matching system and its output .pdf file in the supplementary files section.
